Cleaning the attic...

...to find more glass that I just know is hiding up there.  Finally got a cloudy day that meant the temperature would be bearable up there.  And yes, there were goodies worth claiming for my glass totems.

A clear glass swan was perfect for a smaller clear sparkly totem.  Some folks just don't have room for a huge one, and this is actually small enough to enjoy inside the house!!

The tiny garden fairy with pink flowers in her hair inspired this cutie.

She is about to pour herself a nice cuppa!!

My daughter found this elegant lady with an art deco look, and I just loved her.  She is holding a white bird and the black and gold seemed perfect to show her the best.

Playing...practice, practice, practice

Whichever way you want to look at it, it is still great fun!  These are little 4 x 6 cards so if one turns out really bad I can just toss it.

Loved how this one turned out, using the edge of a credit card to manipulate the inks.

This was inspired from one I saw in my AI group.  I liked hers better, but this one came out pretty cool too.  What looks gray here is actually silver, so it shimmers at the right angles.

With this one I waited till the inks were almost dry to drag the card through in a zigzag pattern.  I love the results...will do this again!

Loved the color merges that happened in this and the card edge was used while the inks were still pretty moist so it blurred nicely into a different look.  

Hand is getting better...

...so I can finally get to typing and more importantly, to quilting. The swelling was so bad I couldn't bend the hand for two weeks. This caused the tendons to stiffen somethin' terrific!! So now I am going for physical therapy and doing exercises every hour to get the hand working again. It is much better and I'm back in business--Whoopee!
Here is one I started a couple days ago to see if I could work the hand in all the moves necessary. It is coming along nicely, and I hope to have it finished soon.


This is a UFO that I finally decided to get back to work on. I wanted to do more embellishing, but couldn't quite decide what would look good. Now I have some beading and embroidery ideas and just have to get to it.


This is a FINISHED wall hanging for ETSY that I am calling "Losing touch" It is the first time I added metal findings from my husband's shop drawers full of hardware. Fun treasure hunt with a whole new eye down in his dusty ole drawers and containers!
